I visited Death Valley with some photog friends on an over night trip and we had two full days of shooting at various places.
Zabriskie Point is a Death Valley vista and a must to see especially during sunset.
Many people come there for the view and to take a few photos. Well worth seeing it up-close.

I did have one of the best pizzas on the border of California and Nevada in a bar.
We did leave a dollar hangin on the wall alongside many others.
